Job Title: Chief Finance Officer

The Viking Academy Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Finance Officer to lead the financial functions of the trust.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic financial leadership and management of the trust's financial functions.
  • Develop and implement financial plans and budgets to ensure the trust's financial stability and growth.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial reports and statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the trust's financial resources, including investments and cash flow.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including funders, auditors, and regulatory bodies.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in financial leadership and management, preferably in an education or charity sector setting.
  • Strong financial planning and analysis skills, with the ability to develop and implement financial plans and budgets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and partnership.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed decisions.
