Salary: £45,000 pa Plus Bonus Opportunities

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 45 hours a week

Sprint Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to join their team in Reading. The ideal candidate will have industry qualifications achieved to a minimum of Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or mechanical engineering, with previous working experience in a workshop environment and in a managerial role.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Plan and control workforce resource availability to meet customer fleet demands.
  2. Manage and control labour costs, including any use of third parties.
  3. Comply with safety audits and manage working code of practice for contractors.
  4. Ensure planning for facilities, bays, machines, tools, diagnosis installations, etc., are carried out correctly, with optimal design of workplaces and processes.
  5. Prepare planning and calculations for investments in workshops, facilities and HR, together with company management.
  6. Regularly review prices for workshop services and adapt them to suit the market with prior agreement from company management.
  7. Measure and report on daily workshop performance around retail sales, warranty, and internal contracts.
  8. Manage WIP and cash control.
  9. Employ new staff and carry out effective induction.
  10. Manage, coach, and motivate employees, ensuring retention of high-quality team members.
  11. Define target agreements with employees and review the level of target achievement.
Competencies Required:
  1. Industry qualifications achieved to a minimum of Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or mechanical engineering (all modules completed).
  2. Strong leadership.
