About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Recovery Specialist to join our team at Turning Point. As a key member of our Family Safeguarding Team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support and interventions to families affected by substance use.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive assessments, risk assessments, and risk management plans to support families in achieving their goals and improving outcomes.
  • Develop and implement personalized recovery plans, including medically assisted recovery, to promote healthier lifestyles and increase family choice.
  • Deliver a range of services, including outreach, open access, and case management, to support families in need.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective case management and coordination of treatment plans.
  • Contribute to the overall performance of the service, ensuring contractual output targets are achieved.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in a busy environment as a Recovery Worker or similar, with a deep understanding of substance use and the Recovery Agenda.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to facilitate workshops, manage recovery coordination sessions, and compile risk assessments and risk management plans.
  • Knowledge of relapse and other barriers to recovery, with a track record of DANOS compliance.
  • Excellent IT skills, with proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
