In light of our expansion plans for the upcoming years, we are seeking a Senior Road Freight Operator to enhance our dynamic team in Witham, Essex.


Key Responsibilities of the Senior Road Freight Operator:
  • Manage comprehensive operations for European Road Freight.
  • Establish and nurture essential service relationships with clients to ensure optimal service delivery.
  • Foster productive relationships with international agents and suppliers.
  • Plan and coordinate European Groupage Trailers effectively.
  • Oversee the Profit/Loss associated with the service.
  • Ensure timely delivery and collection of goods across Europe.
  • Arrange suitable transportation to meet the specific needs of goods being shipped.
  • Provide daily quotations to customers.
  • Prepare complete manifests or delivery notes for transport and warehouse personnel as needed.
  • Adhere to EU and UK regulations concerning export/import documentation.
  • Maintain up-to-date geographic knowledge to facilitate efficient transport operations.
  • Offer support and cover in various areas of the operations team as necessary.
  • Participate in regular performance reviews and annual appraisal meetings with management.
Requirements:
  • Experience in EU Road freight forwarding is essential, though junior candidates may be considered.
  • Strong understanding of EU Road freight movements.
