About the Role

Your new company is a leading Lloyd's Insurer that prides itself on innovation and client-centricity. As a Senior Ceded Reinsurance Technician, you will work closely with the Ceded Re Recoveries Manager to drive reinsurance claims recoveries and premium payments. This is a proactive role that requires strong relationships with various teams and reinsurance brokers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of reinsurance purchased by the organisation
  • Assist in the quarterly reinsurance close as per the organisation's procedures manual
  • Author claim and premium transactions on relevant systems
  • Support the Outwards Reinsurance team on complex RI risks

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Senior Ceded Reinsurance Technician or Reinsurance Technician from a Broker or Insurer
  • Ability to support the reinsurance recoveries manager in all aspects of reinsurance processes
  • Ability to teach and instruct junior members of the reinsurance team
  • Working knowledge of non-marine and marine classes of business
  • Working knowledge of non-proportional, proportional, and facultative reinsurance processing
