Role Overview

Auxtronic Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team at the Wigston bakery. As a key member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining a high-speed, fully automated bakery that manufactures a range of products, including Jacobs crackers and Chocolate digestives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks, including breakdown support and PPM maintenance, to ensure the smooth operation of the bakery.
  • Work on a variety of assets, including conveyors, ovens, packaging machinery, and robots, to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and implement maintenance strategies that minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Contribute to the development of the engineering team by sharing knowledge and best practices.
Requirements
  • City & Guilds, NVQ or BTEC Level 3 in Engineering Maintenance, ideally gained through a recognized apprenticeship.
  • 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Engineer within a high-speed manufacturing environment, ideally in the food or FMCG industry.
  • Mechanical and electrical skills, with a strong competency in fault finding and repairing machinery.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary of £46,000 per annum, plus a £2,500 annual bonus paid in April.
  • A comprehensive benefits package, including 33 days' holiday, 15% pension, 6 months' sick pay, and 5% annual bonus.
