Stafford Lawrence is seeking to recruit a Cost Estimator/Quantity Surveyor for a role that offers a blend of remote and office-based work. This position is associated with a significant project that has been secured by our client.

We are in search of a professional with a background in Cost Consultancy, particularly in the fields of Civil Engineering or Infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be expected to take initiative and demonstrate proficiency in supervising contractors while delivering comprehensive reports to the client.

While this role provides the flexibility of remote work, it is essential for the candidate to possess confidence in their skills and the ability to manage their responsibilities effectively.

Only individuals with the legal right to work in the UK will be considered for this opportunity, as our client is unable to offer visa sponsorship at this time.

Key Qualifications:
  • Professional Credentials: MRICS - Chartered Status is preferred, though candidates pursuing APC will also be considered.
  • Educational Background: A Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
  • Professional Experience: Experience in Cost Consultancy or Engineering Consultancy within the UK.
  • Sector Knowledge: Ideally, candidates should have experience in Engineering, Civil Infrastructure, or Telecommunications. However, those who can effectively manage contractors, handle workloads, and contribute to business growth are encouraged to apply.
  • General Skills: Capability to manage projects, collaborate with clients, and mentor junior staff members.
  • Reporting Structure: Direct reporting to the business Owner.
Compensation & Perks:

This is a full-time permanent position with a combination of office and remote work. The salary is negotiable, typically ranging from £50,000 to £60,000 annually.Additional Benefits:
Includes a Pension Scheme, coverage for professional subscriptions, holiday allowance, and flexibility for home working.
