Position Overview

Strategic Sourcing Lead - Marketing & Professional Services | Competitive Salary | Bonus, healthcare & comprehensive benefits | Hybrid working | Reputable global organization

This is an exceptional opportunity to become part of a well-established global organization on a fixed-term contract basis to cover for a temporary absence. You will be integrated into a substantial procurement team, focusing on critical areas of expenditure that contribute to the organization's ongoing achievements.

The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in Corporate Services procurement, particularly in Marketing, Professional Services, and ESG category management. To be considered for this role, you should have comprehensive end-to-end procurement expertise, a strategic outlook, and a proven track record of engaging with and managing senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate relevant category strategies leading to effective delivery and performance, including year-on-year savings.
  • Develop category plans and strategies to ensure alignment across the organization, leveraging supplier relationships to support various offices.
  • Assist in the creation of category strategies that prioritize a clear pipeline of sourcing initiatives.
  • Engage, manage, and influence senior stakeholders from Director to Board level to secure buy-in, utilizing extensive market knowledge.
  • Establish relationships with key stakeholders to maintain a comprehensive understanding of supplier performance.
  • Monitor supplier risk and performance through analytical tools and feedback from the business.
  • Exemplify procurement best practices by embodying company values, consistently meeting high standards, and promoting procurement through effective relationships.
  • In addition to delivering strategic projects, ensure the organization receives optimal service aligned with cost efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in a large, complex, and multi-site organization.
  • Category expertise in Marketing, Professional Services, and ESG is preferred.
  • Ability to engage, negotiate, and influence senior stakeholders up to Director level and beyond.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, employing various approaches based on relationship type, level, and maturity.
  • Analytical mindset with excellent communication skills to effectively present ideas to the organization.
  • Experience working within a large, cross-functional procurement team.
  • MCIPS qualification is advantageous but not mandatory.
