Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to lead our Early Intervention in Psychosis Service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing professional management and clinical supervision to Psychologists and Psychological Therapists, as well as developing and implementing psychological therapies for clients with complex mental health issues.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and provision of psychological therapies in psychosis and those at risk of psychosis
  • Provide professional management and clinical supervision to Psychologists and Psychological Therapists
  • Develop and implement psychological assessments, formulations, interventions, and evaluations of outcome for clients with complex mental health issues
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide a comprehensive service to clients

Person Specification
  • Honours degree in psychology (at level of 2:1 or above) with eligibility for Graduate Membership of BPS
  • Post-graduate doctorate in clinical psychology (or equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS
  • Post-doctoral training in the supervision of Trainee Clinical Psychologists and sufficient experience to be recognised by the Division of Clinical Psychology as able to offer training placements to Trainee Clinical Psychologists undertaking doctoral training
  • Experience of working in an Early Intervention in Psychosis service
  • Training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in Psychosis (CBTp)
