Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive cinema strategy that aligns with the Barbican's artistic vision and goals.
- Lead the cinema team and provide clear direction and guidance to ensure the delivery of high-quality cinema programming.
- Collaborate with cross-arts teams to deliver the overall artistic strategy and contribute to the development of new initiatives and projects.
- Curate film festivals, seasons, and new release programming that showcase the best of international cinema.
- Network and build relationships with industry professionals, filmmakers, and other stakeholders to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the sector.
- Extensive knowledge of films and cinema history, with a deep understanding of the changing trends in the sector.
- Substantial experience of curating film festivals, seasons, and new release programming.
- Excellent leadership and collaborative team working skills.
- Ability to generate artistic ideas and projects that align with the Barbican's vision and goals.
