Lead Therapeutic Education Specialist

MLK Education Search is proud to support this exceptional group of schools in London, seeking a highly skilled Therapeutic Education Specialist to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of pupils with adverse childhood experiences and SEMH needs.

About the Role:

  • Collaborate with leaders and teachers to ensure high-quality education and therapy, driving efficient and organized operations.
  • Contribute to staff briefings, training, and lead as Deputy DSL, promoting a positive and supportive school environment.
  • Work closely with the Executive Principal to maintain outstanding standards, aligning with ISS and Ofsted expectations.
  • Lead the organization and management of the school and staff team, ensuring effective timetabling and supervision.
  • Develop and implement strategies to manage behavior positively, in line with the school's policy.
  • Provide senior-level support to parents, visitors, staff, and pupils, fostering a culture of open communication.

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status or relevant degree-level qualification.
  • Successful teaching experience in a Primary setting with SEMH/SEN pupils.
  • Recent CP and Safer Recruitment training.
  • Experience in school development and improvement strategies.
  • Evidence of involvement in CPD activities related to SEMH/SEN.
