POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are on the lookout for a talented and driven Software and Control Systems Engineer to enhance our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in the design, development, and implementation of control systems and software for our cutting-edge products. Collaborating with a team of skilled professionals in an innovative environment, this role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the advancement of sophisticated control systems and software for our vehicles.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, develop, verify, and ensure timely delivery of control systems and software for both new and existing products throughout their lifecycle.
  • Engage in the innovative creation of architectures, distributed control systems, and software, including support systems and diagnostic tools.
  • Follow software management and development protocols to maintain traceability and controlled access to vehicle software applications and documentation.
  • Conduct end-to-end model-based software development using a V-model approach, from concept to engineering sign-off and release, with verification through simulation and integration tests.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on technical issues and requirements, ensuring high customer satisfaction through reliable implementations.
  • Create designs, technical documentation, and drawings that meet quality and safety standards throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant internal and international standards, best practices, and regulations.
  • Maintain user-friendly diagnostics and telematics systems to enhance service and operational capabilities.
  • Work with partners and suppliers to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets for projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience, along with a background in a similar role.
  • Experience in the automotive sector, particularly with buses, coaches, HGVs, or specialist vehicles, is preferred.
  • Experience in mobile plant, rail, aerospace, marine, or other complex manufacturing environments is also welcomed.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of supporting multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols and tools such as CAN, LIN, and IP.
  • Experience with model-based software development in Simulink/Stateflow.
  • Ability to operate within a structured engineering process-oriented environment, with knowledge of software quality and management processes.
  • Desirable: Experience with Vector, dSPACE, Polarion, Teamcenter, HIL rigs, and test automation.
  • Familiarity with ISO26262 or equivalent functional safety standards.
  • Experience with powertrain and high voltage control systems.
