The Exposure Management division at MS Amlin plays a pivotal role in assessing and communicating the risk levels undertaken by the organization. Team members leverage sophisticated modeling techniques and analytical tools, combined with their knowledge of both natural and non-natural hazards, exposure, and financial principles, to assist underwriters and various stakeholders in making informed decisions. The outputs generated by this team are vital for pricing strategies, compliance with capital requirements, and establishing risk appetites.

The Portfolio Analytics team, a subset of Exposure Management, concentrates on overseeing both natural and non-natural catastrophe risks at the syndicate level, thereby enhancing decision-making processes and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.

This role focuses on advancing the Exposure Management framework specifically for non-natural catastrophe risks through the creation of methodologies, analytical tools, and risk monitoring systems. You will collaborate closely with team members while remaining updated on industry developments to fulfill both internal and external reporting obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate in the development of innovative methodologies and systems for managing non-natural catastrophe exposure data.
  • Assist in the effective integration of non-natural catastrophe risks within the Internal Model.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends and risks associated with non-natural catastrophes.
  • Engage with colleagues across exposure management, catastrophe modeling, and actuarial sectors.
  • Support the team with routine reporting and analysis of event responses.
