This role presents an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual with a passion for estate planning and administration. The ideal candidate will possess NQ-3 years PQE and either hold a STEP membership or demonstrate a strong commitment to pursuing this accreditation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clear guidance and prepare legal documents such as Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs), and general PoAs.
  • Manage a diverse caseload encompassing probate and estate administration, ranging from straightforward cases below the Inheritance Tax threshold to complex estates involving IHT400s.
  • Demonstrate expertise in administering estates where the deceased has died intestate, ensuring a thorough understanding of intestacy rules and procedures.
  • Possess a solid grasp of trusts and their tax implications, including both creation and lifetime management.
  • Gain practical experience with Life Interest Trusts and Discretionary Trusts, particularly those outlined in deceased Wills.
  • Develop a keen awareness of issues affecting older clients and navigate Court of Protection and deputyship matters effectively.
Requirements
  • NQ-3 years PQE as a Solicitor or CILEX practitioner.
  • STEP membership is highly desirable but not mandatory.
  • Exhibit strong teamwork skills while maintaining self-sufficiency and independence.
  • Demonstrate the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds, ranging from those with modest estates to high net worth individuals.
  • Embrace networking and business development opportunities, acting as a positive ambassador for the firm.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for cross-referrals within the department and across other practice areas.
  • Maintain composure and work methodically under pressure.
  • Possess a valid driver's license (beneficial).
