Cover Supervisor Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cover Supervisor to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising students in the absence of a teacher, managing classroom behaviour, and ensuring a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise students in the classroom, ensuring their safety and well-being
- Manage classroom behaviour, using effective strategies to promote a positive learning environment
- Deliver pre-prepared lessons, ensuring students are engaged and on task
- Support students with their learning, providing individualized assistance when needed
- Report back to teaching staff on student progress and any issues that may arise
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- Ability to follow lesson plans and manage a classroom effectively
- Higher education qualifications in Education or a related field
- First Aid certification, with the ability to respond to emergencies
- Working within a school setting, with full-time hours and occasional overtime
- Interacting with students, teachers, and school staff, with a focus on providing excellent customer service

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with the option to make it permanent at a later date.
