Job Duties:
  • Supervise students in the absence of a teacher
  • Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment
  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans to students
  • Provide support to students during their learning activities
  • Report back on student behaviour and any issues to the appropriate staff
Required Qualifications:
  • GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths
  • Experience working with children or young people
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
  • Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting
  • Knowledge of classroom management techniques
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies
  • Excellent organisational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Higher education qualification in Education or related field
  • First Aid certification
  • Additional training in behaviour management
Working Conditions:
  • Working hours typically during school hours
  • May involve standing for extended periods
  • Interaction with students, teachers, and other school staff
  • Adherence to school policies and procedures
