Radiography Coordinator

Job Summary:
The Radiography Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Radiography Support Team and coordination of radiography activities on site. This position requires strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders, including contractors, engineers, and other site personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate radiography activities, including planning, preparation, and execution, to ensure timely and safe completion of tasks.
- Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, engineers, and other site personnel to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Monitor and report on radiography performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with HSE guidelines, Company Standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the Radiography Subject Matter Expert to ensure that ALARP justifications are produced and approved prior to radiography activities.
- Develop and maintain a 'one-team' working relationship with all key project stakeholders, providing clear communication and support to surrounding departments and programme teams.
Requirements:
- PCN or equivalent ISO 9712/ASME level 2 radiographer, current preferred but lapsed qualifications accepted.
- Previously trained and appointed as Radiation Protection Supervisor (RPS) minimum.
- Experience working on large construction/refit projects with significant levels of radiography.
- Good knowledge of other non-destructive testing techniques/standards, additional qualifications such as ultrasonics and/or surface inspection are an advantage.
- Knowledge and experience from working in the nuclear sector.
- Good knowledge of the IRR2017.
Working Environment:
The Radiography Coordinator will work on the HPC Site, with regular out-of-hours attendance required to take part in the site permit system and authorizing, as well as observing work. The successful candidate will be able to identify risk and find solutions with contractors to control without compromising safety.
