About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Catering Assistant to join our team at Eric Morecambe House in Morecambe, Lancashire. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering a high-quality catering service to our residents, ensuring their nutritional needs are met and their dining experience is enjoyable.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve meals to residents in accordance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene procedures.
- Minimize food waste and ensure efficient use of kitchen equipment.
- Escalate any concerns or issues to the Chef Manager or relevant authorities.
Requirements
- Level 2 food safety certificate.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures, including COSHH.
- Previous catering experience and basic food safety knowledge.
- Experience working with older people.
Desirable Skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Flexibility to work in a pressured environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
