About This Opportunity
We are seeking a visionary Head of Data & AI Ethics to join our Chief Data and Analytics Office within our newly established AI Centre of Excellence. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the bank's Ethical AI policies and practices, ensuring we operate with integrity, transparency, and in accordance with regulatory and societal expectations.
Your Impact
As a transformative leader, you will own a highly specialized team of AI and Ethics experts. You will develop and lead the bank's AI Ethics strategy, ensuring alignment with the overall AI, Data, and Group Technology strategy. You will act as a thought leader, advising senior leaders, executives, and the Board on ethical issues, standards, and responsible AI tooling.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Leading the development and embedding of Group-wide ethical AI frameworks, including the AI assurance framework. This will involve creating a cohesive set of reusable patterns, tooling, controls, and guardrails to support the delivery of safe, ethical, and well-governed AI solutions.
- Staying abreast of emerging trends and best practices in AI ethics, ensuring our policies and practices remain cutting-edge and relevant.
- Collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to promote a culture of responsible AI development and deployment.
- Conducting ethical reviews of AI projects and systems to identify and mitigate potential risks.

You are a passionate advocate for ethical AI with a deep understanding of the technical, social, and legal implications of AI. You have a proven track record of developing and implementing successful AI ethics strategies. Your strong communication and collaboration skills enable you to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
