Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Emergency Care Specialist to join our team at George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust. As an Emergency Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our Urgent and Emergency Care department.

Main Responsibilities

• Provide advanced clinical assessment and treatment skills to patients presenting to the Adult Emergency Department

• Demonstrate expertise in assessing and diagnosing patients, with clear communication and management plans in line with local guidelines

• Engage in continuous professional development and share experience and teaching with the wider team

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Proven track record in Urgent/Emergency care, leadership, and change management
  • Proven evidence of educational support to others
  • Demonstrated ability to support colleagues
  • Clinical expertise including history taking and clinical examination skills
  • Experience in working in an Urgent care or Emergency Department setting

Desirable Qualifications and Skills

We are looking for individuals with:

  • Experience in working as an ENP/ECP in an Urgent care or Emergency Department setting
  • Competence in wound management assessment and closure
  • Advanced level of clinical reasoning and decision-making skills
