Job Title: Autism Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Support Worker to join our team at an outstanding school in the London borough of Barnet.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and caring individual to support children with special needs, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). As an Autism Support Worker, you will work closely with our experienced team to provide high-quality support and care to our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with ASC, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Assist students with daily living skills, such as personal care and mobility.
  • Support students during lessons and activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a smooth and supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team.
  • Experience working with children with special needs, particularly those with ASC.
  • Knowledge of strategies and techniques to support students with ASC.
