About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate English Teacher to join our team at a Good Secondary School based in Barking and Dagenham.

The School

This Community school is located in the borough of Barking & Dagenham and has the highest expectations and ambitions for every student. The school has recently completed a rebuild and boasts fantastic facilities.

The school is very supportive of its staff and is always looking to improve its expertise. In its last Ofsted inspection, it was noted that 'Leaders make sure that staff benefit from quality training to help them contribute towards the school's priorities. From their monitoring, leaders identify the personal training and development needs of members of staff, which they then fulfill.'

The Department

The school has a very successful English department and is looking to appoint a talented and dynamic English Teacher who will be responsible for teaching English to KS3 - KS5. The successful candidate will work closely with a large and supportive team to ensure that students are given the opportunity to reach their individual goals.

The department welcomes both experienced English Teachers and Newly Qualified (NQT) English Teachers to apply for this post.

Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • PGCE in English
  • Experience teaching English KS3, KS4 and KS5
