Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Boden Group. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in supporting the commercial aspects of project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the production of budgets, forecasts, and monthly CVR's.
  • Manage project income recovery and ensure prompt payment of invoices, minimizing WIP and debt.
  • Lead on the valuation, tendering, and submission of contract variations.
  • Work with project delivery teams to ensure accurate contract administration.
  • Liaise with clients to establish Value for Money on projects and budgets.
  • Identify and communicate commercial risk and opportunities to project teams and the wider business.
  • Review contract terms and conditions for new project opportunities.
  • Ensure supply chain partners provide best value for money and adhere to agreed contract terms.
  • Notify key stakeholders of material changes to projects.
  • Establish and maintain good communication with customers.
  • Support client initiatives and projects.
  • Provide timely commercial reports, including contract variations.
  • Support the Commercial Manager in tender analysis and client proposal preparation.
Requirements:
  • Qualified to HND or Degree Level in Quantity Surveying.
  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Self-motivated with a flexible approach to work and capable of working to challenging deadlines.
  • Knowledge of contract law and demonstrable knowledge of NEC suite of contracts.
  • Mobile and available to travel between sites to meet business needs.
  • Financial and commercial acumen and awareness, including current contract legislation.
  • Analytical and proactive approach to problem-solving.
