Saica Group operates in 11 countries with a workforce exceeding 10,000 individuals, specializing in the production of eco-friendly recycled paper, corrugated cardboard, and flexible packaging, alongside offering waste management solutions and waste recovery services.

Our Flexible Packaging division manufactures a variety of adaptable plastic films, with our facility dedicated to producing goods for leading food retailers and suppliers.

Responsibilities include assisting in the setup and operation of printing machinery to achieve optimal performance while adhering to safety protocols. It is essential to maintain the machinery and the surrounding environment in accordance with health, safety, environmental, hygiene, and cleanliness standards.

Ensure that any spills are documented and addressed immediately. Operate in compliance with site health and safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
Identify and report any discrepancies to the Lead Printer or Shift Manager and assist in resolving issues as necessary.
Participate in the training of team members as needed.
When required, contribute to shift transitions to ensure seamless operations and uninterrupted production.

Regularly verify that the printing press is in suitable working condition and, in the absence of the Lead Printer, ensure that the incoming shift is informed about production status and any pertinent operational matters.

Relevant Print NVQ Level 2 or 3 is advantageous.
A solid foundation in literacy and numeracy, ideally at GCSE level in English and Mathematics.
Experience in manufacturing, particularly in label or packaging printing.
Significant familiarity with quality, health, safety, and environmental standards and practices within a production environment.

Shift Pattern:
This position involves 12-hour shifts following a 2-week rotation:
Week - 3 nights (Tue, Wed, Thu) 6pm-6am
Shift patterns may vary based on operational needs.
