Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven B2B Field Sales Representative to join our team at Choice Associates Ltd. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to grow product sales performance and profit.

About the Role:

This is a hands-on role within a rapidly growing specialty chemical manufacturing business. You will have experience in a similar B2B sales role with a track record of developing and executing sales strategies to grow product sales performance and profit. You will be a motivated self-starter, proactive by nature and customer-focused, with the drive and ability to operate in the field with minimum supervision throughout the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service and further develop existing accounts through upselling, cross-selling, etc
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities
  • Identify the UK's emerging markets and market shifts while maintaining awareness of new products and competition status
  • Maintain a strong awareness of competitor status, products, activity, pricing, market trends, marketing techniques/activities
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Represent the company at Industry-specific events and remain knowledgeable of key market and industry trends
  • Manage sales pipeline to drive new business opportunities and meet agreed objectives

Requirements:

  • A minimum of three years B2B sales experience in the chemical industry with a manufacturer or Distributor
  • Degree qualification in chemistry/chemical engineering or related technical subject
  • Experience/knowledge of the full 360 sales process an advantage
  • Knowledge/experience in the field of surfactants, antifoam agents, silicone emulsions is desirable
  • Experience in applications such as water treatment, coatings, construction, printing, food & beverage or adhesives is desirable
  • Experience in B2B sales or account management and business development activities, upselling, cross-selling etc
  • Credible customer-facing skills, highly organized with strong time management skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to build trusted business relationships
  • A tenacious and proactive self-starter, who is results-driven with a genuine passion for sales and excellent communication skills
  • Valid UK Driver's License essential and willingness to travel up to 50% of your time to meet customers
