Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Merchandising Specialist to join our team at NJR Recruitment. As a Merchandising Specialist, you will play a key role in managing the day-to-day merchandising of given categories within a major high street retailer account.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stock Management: Plan, control, and manage stock levels of designated categories to meet the stock requirements of the business, while maximizing sales.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with the customer and manage key stakeholders through regular meetings and effective communication.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze sales performance against forecast and suggest corrective action where required.
  • Team Collaboration: Support the Design and Account Management teams by providing relevant data and analysis to drive sales and profit.
  • Supplier Liaison: Liaise with suppliers to resolve issues, support Critical Path management, and ensure intake is managed in line with stock targets and customer expectation.
  • Documentation: Complete all customer-related product documentation on time, in detail, and to the requirements, gathering information from relevant stakeholders where needed.
  • Process Management: Work as part of the wider team across all areas of the business from Design, QC, Accounts, and Warehousing, completing and updating all required documents accurately to ensure processes are followed and stakeholders are fully updated on the customer's present requirements.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Ideally at least 3 years' experience of working within merchandising.
  • Critical Path Management: Must have a solid understanding of and be able to drive a critical path.
  • Communication and Teamwork: A good communicator and a strong team player.
  • Leadership and Motivation: Motivated, proactive, and confident at leading conversations with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Technical Skills: Excellent skills in Excel, Word, Office, and PowerPoint.
