Position: Field Service Engineer (Laundry Equipment)

Location: South West

Salary: Approximately £36,000 Basic DOE + Overtime (OTE Approx. £3,000 to £4,000 Extra) + 28 Days Holiday + Bonus Scheme + Bank Holidays + Company Pension + Company Vehicle + Call Out (1 in 4 Weekends – Paid at 1.5x Saturday, 2x Sunday) + Private Medical

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week – 07:30 Usual Start Time

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Engineer to join a leading service provider specializing in commercial laundry solutions, particularly within the care home sector. This role presents an excellent opportunity to become part of a respected organization that values its workforce and promotes job stability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performing both reactive and scheduled maintenance on industrial and commercial laundry machinery at various client locations.
  • Achieving a target of over 80% first-time fix on service calls.
  • Conducting electrical and mechanical repairs and maintenance.
  • Traveling to customer sites, typically within a 1 to 1.5-hour radius.
  • Managing an average of 3 to 4 service jobs per day.
  • Participating in an on-call rotation, being available for callouts one weekend out of four.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Proven experience in servicing laundry equipment.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure to resolve breakdowns and adhere to Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules.

Additional Information:
The successful candidate will ideally possess gas qualifications; however, training can be provided for the right individual. This role offers the flexibility of working from home while being part of a dynamic team committed to excellence in service delivery.
