Job Summary:

Luton Bennett is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team as a Field Service Engineer. As a key member of our field service team, you will be responsible for providing reactive and routine maintenance to industrial and commercial laundry equipment for breakdowns at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out electrical and mechanical maintenance on commercial laundry equipment in care homes, hotels, charities, gyms, and other establishments.
  • Field-based working at customer sites, typically within a 1-1.5 hour radius between jobs.
  • Working on a variety of commercial laundry equipment, including machines and systems.
  • Average of 3-4 jobs per day, with the potential for more during peak periods.
  • 1 in 4 weekends callout standby, with a guaranteed 1/4 weekend off per month.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working on laundry equipment, preferably in a field service or maintenance role.
  • Ability to work quickly to rectify breakdowns and effectively manage PPM schedules.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
