This role will be to lead and supervise the Patient Care Advisors. You will be required to:
- Monitor workloads and ensure efficient distribution of tasks.
- Offer support to ensure patients are booked by clinical priority, meeting national operational targets.
- Act as an escalation point for breach patients and clinic capacity issues.
- Ensure Trust operational targets are met and managed within the team.
- Run daily reports for phone monitoring, managing of urgent and cancer referrals, unused slots, and non-actioned reports.
- Escalate any issues to the PAC Manager/Divisions.
- Represent the department at performance assurance meetings.
Supervise staff to ensure fair distribution of workload and maximize efficiency of the Patient Care Advisors and PAS admin staff. Prioritize and delegate work as necessary to the team, working under pressure and dealing with non-routine situations. Ensure all outpatient referrals are registered in a timely manner. Ensure adequate cover on the telephone rota. Monitor the accurate and timely inputting of information onto the Patient Administration System, ensuring all satellite outpatient clinic outcomes are reconciled for month-end reporting.
