Position: Graduate Reading Teaching Assistant

Location: Hounslow, Greater London

School Type: Secondary Mainstream School

Contract: Full Time, Monday – Friday

Working Hours: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Reading Support Assistant to join our dedicated team at a flourishing secondary mainstream school. The successful candidate will be passionate about education and motivated to assist students aged 11-16 in enhancing their reading abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support in the classroom, working with students on an individual basis, in small groups, or assisting the entire class.
  • Help students facing literacy challenges, including those with dyslexia.
  • Implement engaging and structured teaching activities to inspire and improve students' learning experiences.
  • Ensure equitable access to learning opportunities for all pupils and advocate for the inclusion of students with specific needs.
  • Utilize effective behavior management techniques to create a conducive learning environment.
  • Encourage collaborative interactions among students and support their overall development.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A graduate with strong literacy and reading skills.
  • Genuine passion for education and a desire to positively influence students' lives.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with students and staff.
