Job Title: Customer Service Advisor

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Customer Service Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our customer-facing team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, primarily elderly individuals who rely on our office teams to take their orders over the phone or via the internet.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take customer orders and make outbound courtesy calls to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Support drivers with route planning for the next day's delivery rounds.
  • Provide exemplary service to each customer, ensuring their needs are met and they are informed about how to cook, store, and re-order meals as necessary.
  • Update customer records and liaise with customer relatives as required.
  • Prepare promotional literature and communicate details of new products or promotions to customers.
  • Search for new business opportunities and share best practices with colleagues to continuously improve our service proposition.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a customer service role.
  • Confident using a personal computer to manage and process orders.
  • Confident telephone manner.
  • Able to pay attention to detail and be accurate in your work.
  • Numerate and good written English; GCSE Maths & English standard or equivalent.
  • Able to work to deadlines.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the elderly/care market.
  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

  • Able to communicate effectively with members of the public and their families.
  • A good listener, able to treat every customer as an individual.
  • Ability to work under own initiative, plan own day, manage own time.
  • Flexible approach to work content and willingness to help with other areas of the business as and when the occasion arises.
