Role Overview: This position offers a hybrid working model, allowing flexibility to be based anywhere in the UK. The role requires mobility and travel to client sites, along with in-person collaboration with colleagues as necessary, transitioning to site-based responsibilities during the primary construction execution phase.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possess a robust background in Electrical and Instrumentation Controls, with proven experience in site commissioning.
  • Exhibit a strong commitment to safety by engaging in Commissioning Permit to Work, Electrical Isolation, and Safety Work Manuals, ensuring the efficient and safe execution of tasks. Actively participate in Job Safety Analyses (JSA) and Risk Assessments, monitor compliance with procedures, and engage in Safety Walks and toolbox meetings.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with construction and commissioning mechanical completion technologies.
  • Show proficiency in interpreting design documentation, including P&IDs, PFDs, and mechanical datasheets.
  • Deliver technically accurate documentation that meets the required standards and timelines.
  • Manage and oversee the operations of work sites effectively.
  • Bring experience from industries such as Oil and Gas.
  • Possess expertise in at least one of the following areas: determining pass/fail criteria on UPS testing, generators, Switchgear, control narratives, compressor commissioning/startup, or turbine commissioning/startup.
  • Have experience with Brownfield upgrades and replacement instrumentation and control projects.
  • Be knowledgeable in handling Switch Rooms, Switchboards, Distribution Boards, Lighting, UPS, Instruments, Cable runs, and Control rooms.
  • Experience with Compressor Stations and Metering is a plus.
  • Understand substations and power systems, including associated protection systems such as overcurrent and unit protection, as well as harmonics.
  • Possess working knowledge of one or more of the following systems: Emerson, Siemens PCS7, Swinton, Omni, FlowX, EXI, Honeywell (DCS/Meter suite), PLCs, Measurement Technologies, Metering Systems, and PLC & SCADA Systems/Software.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills.
  • Have prior experience in reviewing commissioning and construction activities.
  • Be well-organized with a keen attention to detail.
  • Thrive in an integrated team environment, fostering trust and respect among team members.
  • Demonstrate computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
