The Role
As an Onboarding Advisor, you will be an integral part of a team responsible for executing due diligence and risk evaluations on new clients. You will collaborate closely with various departments to ensure a smooth onboarding process, adhering to our risk protocols and regulatory compliance. This position requires a proactive individual with a solid understanding of risk management, ensuring that customer onboarding is both efficient and protective of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of customer screenings, including identity verification, PEP, sanctions, and adverse media checks, to inform comprehensive risk assessments.
- Evaluate the client's business nature and risk profile, gaining insights into their operations and services.
- Manage onboarding tasks such as processing account opening documentation, administrative responsibilities, system activation, and approving low to medium-risk accounts.
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to collect necessary documentation for compliance purposes.
- Offer support and guidance to clients, ensuring they comprehend the terms, conditions, and required documentation.
- Maintain precise and high-quality records, including conducting relevant screening checks.
- Address client issues or concerns, escalating them to management as necessary.
- Balance the need for a seamless onboarding experience with the application of a risk-based approach.
- Aim to meet individual and team performance targets and objectives.
Qualifications
- Fluency in both English and German.
- Understanding of KYC, CDD/EDD requirements, and AML regulations.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Attention to detail.
- Previous relevant experience in an onboarding role.
