The Role

As an Onboarding Advisor, you will be an integral part of a team responsible for executing due diligence and risk evaluations on new clients. You will collaborate closely with various departments to ensure a smooth onboarding process, adhering to our risk protocols and regulatory compliance. This position requires a proactive individual with a solid understanding of risk management, ensuring that customer onboarding is both efficient and protective of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of customer screenings, including identity verification, PEP, sanctions, and adverse media checks, to inform comprehensive risk assessments.
  • Evaluate the client's business nature and risk profile, gaining insights into their operations and services.
  • Manage onboarding tasks such as processing account opening documentation, administrative responsibilities, system activation, and approving low to medium-risk accounts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to collect necessary documentation for compliance purposes.
  • Offer support and guidance to clients, ensuring they comprehend the terms, conditions, and required documentation.
  • Maintain precise and high-quality records, including conducting relevant screening checks.
  • Address client issues or concerns, escalating them to management as necessary.
  • Balance the need for a seamless onboarding experience with the application of a risk-based approach.
  • Aim to meet individual and team performance targets and objectives.

Qualifications

  • Fluency in both English and German.
  • Understanding of KYC, CDD/EDD requirements, and AML regulations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Previous relevant experience in an onboarding role.
