About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled NDT Inspector to join our team at NOV. As an NDT Inspector, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret and Evaluate Test Results: Interpret or evaluate test results in accordance with applicable codes, standards, specifications, or procedures.
  • NDT Techniques: Interpret the results of all methods of non-destructive testing (NDT) such as Industrial Radiography, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, and visual testing.
  • Quality Assurance and Control: Monitor and report Quality Assurance and Quality Control aspects of required work scope.
  • Quality Documentation: Control and ensure the accuracy of all quality documentation related to customer requirements.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with departmental managers, staff, and suppliers to ensure quality, aiming to minimize the costs of reworking or waste and maximize customer satisfaction with our products.
  • Corrective Actions: Make recommendations for corrective actions, continually identifying areas of improvement.
  • Equipment Operation: Select, calibrate, or operate equipment used in the non-destructive testing (NDT) of products or materials.
  • Product Examination: Examine product using non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques.
  • Reporting: Prepare reports on non-destructive testing (NDT) results.
  • Specialized Testing: Conduct liquid penetrant tests to locate surface cracks by coating objects with fluorescent dyes, cleaning excess penetrant, and applying developer.
  • Documentation: Document non-destructive testing (NDT) methods, processes, or results.
  • Visual Examination: Visually examine materials, structures, or components using tools and equipment for signs of corrosion, metal fatigue, cracks, or other flaws.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: HNC in a relevant engineering qualification or equivalent (essential).
  • NDT Certifications: ASNT TC 1A level II (or recognized equivalent which complies to EN473) in magnetic particle examination, dye penetrant examination (essential).
  • Desirable Skills: Ultrasonic Testing, Radiographic Testing, Heat Treatment.
