Are you a visionary leader with a commitment to educational excellence? Our organization is in search of a Strategic School Operations Manager to direct the operational and strategic business activities across various academies within our Trust.
Join us in enhancing the quality of education across our institutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a vital member of the Trust Business Leadership Team, contributing to strategic planning and operational success.
- Oversee central Trust operations to ensure efficiency across all academies.
- Guarantee adherence to national standards and academy policies.
- Guide and develop office managers, administrative staff, facilities personnel, and apprentices.
- Serve as the financial approver for the Trust, following the Financial Handbook and Scheme of Delegation.
- Maintain effective financial protocols and ensure timely account management.
- Facilitate governance and compliance audits, ensuring operational practices align with quality benchmarks.
- Manage facilities operations effectively.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, GDPR, and other relevant regulations.
- Engage in pertinent meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Relevant training in accountancy, business, or management - Essential
- Strong educational background, including proficiency in English and Mathematics
- Experience collaborating with school governors or boards
- Proven track record in capacity building and change management
- Expertise in financial management and budget oversight
- Strategic leadership and policy development capabilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems
- Understanding of educational frameworks and funding mechanisms
- Ability to present complex financial information clearly
- Skills in risk assessment and management
- Project management expertise - Essential
- Resourceful and innovative problem-solving abilities
