Position: IT Procurement Lead

Location: Frimley, Surrey (1 day onsite per week)

Employment Type: Permanent

Compensation: £60,000-£80,000 (Dependent on Experience) + bonus + benefits

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the organization-wide strategy aimed at modernizing IT through the implementation of advanced IT outsourcing models and agreements.
  • Evaluate current IT service contracts and meticulously document the commercial processes necessary for transitioning away from existing providers.
  • Establish and oversee forums dedicated to managing exit-related commercial processes, ensuring documentation of outcomes and governance of supplier performance during transitions.
  • Internally report on risks, costs, and impacts associated with exit strategies and plans to senior stakeholders.
  • Identify and onboard new significant suppliers, necessitating specific transition activities.
  • Collaborate with internal change teams from a commercial standpoint to ensure adherence to performance plans during transition and exit processes.
  • Travel across the UK to engage with suppliers and stakeholders as required.
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Proven experience as a procurement professional, particularly in strategic sourcing or category management.
  • Strong technical acumen regarding IT suppliers, including outsourced contracts, software, licensing, and IT services.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and supplier relationship management skills.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to engage with suppliers across the UK.
  • Capability to identify and devise solutions to complex problems.
