About the RoleThe successful candidate will work closely with our Senior Practice Nurse and Senior Medical Officer to provide expert clinical advice, leadership, and support. You will be responsible for the delivery of appropriate treatment, screening, and advice to patients within your professional competence and in accordance with DPHC clinical guidelines and protocols.
Key Responsibilities- Providing specialist high-quality person-centred primary care which always considers people's safety, privacy, and dignity.
- Being responsible for the delivery of appropriate treatment, screening, and advice to patients within their professional competence and in accordance with DPHC clinical guidelines and protocols.
- Providing expert clinical advice, leadership, and support ensuring the needs of the service are met by exercising and demonstrating high levels of clinical judgement, critical analysis, and decision-making skills.
- Undertaking technical nursing treatments and procedures for patient's complex/specialist healthcare needs.
- Registered Nurse with current, unrestricted registration on the Nursing and Midwifery Council Register.
- Professional and specialist knowledge in primary healthcare acquired through postgraduate degree/diploma or actively working towards this.
- Experienced and competent in history taking and physical assessment and the triage & treatment of minor injury/illness, immunisation, venepuncture, ear care, audiology, travel medicine, wound care, cervical screening.
- A valid full UK driving licence due to travel between practices.
