Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead management teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality services and favorable business outcomes.
  • Enhance the performance of Managers through the Competency Framework, ensuring they meet established expectations in performance and conduct.
  • Serve as a positive role model for all staff, maintaining an approachable demeanor and providing consistent visibility and support.
  • Deliver clear and consistent leadership across the organization.
  • Collaborate proactively with the Head of Quality to ensure new services are established effectively.
  • Develop action plans to ensure commercial viability, growth, and ongoing quality improvement in all services.
  • Inspire Service Managers by fostering teamwork, commitment, and professional development.
  • Work closely with Human Resources, Finance, and Recruitment teams to support the business operations.
  • Manage individual performance, promote continuous professional development, and address any underperformance effectively.
  • Ensure annual appraisals are conducted for all staff, ensuring they are meaningful and productive.
  • Provide relevant supervision for all staff in alignment with appraisal objectives and development plans.
  • Conduct investigations, disciplinary hearings, and grievance procedures as necessary.
  • Maintain high staff retention rates throughout the organization.
  • Work closely with the Head of Quality, providing regular updates and ensuring awareness of current and potential issues.
  • Communicate effectively to ensure all staff understand their roles and expectations.
  • Conduct thorough appraisals for Service Managers, recognizing achievements and supporting ongoing development through formal and informal supervision.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Experience as an Operations or Registered Manager, preferably in a Supported Living environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management expertise.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as CQC or Local Authority compliance.
  • Exceptional organizational and administrative skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and strong computer skills.
  • Strong numeracy and literacy capabilities.
  • Able to analyze data and prepare comprehensive reports.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with individuals at all levels.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative in problem-solving.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Capable of prioritizing a diverse workload.
  • Warm, friendly, and compassionate demeanor with a positive outlook.
