Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Anaesthetist to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our perioperative medicine services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide expert anaesthetic care to patients undergoing surgery, including trauma and emergency cases
  • Develop and implement effective perioperative care pathways to improve patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and efficient hospital operations
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and policies
  • Participate in teaching and training activities to support the development of junior staff
Requirements
  • Full GMC registration and CCT in anaesthesia or equivalent
  • FRCA or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in trauma and emergency anaesthesia, as well as perioperative care and pain management
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
  • Commitment to continuing professional development and medical education
