We are seeking a highly skilled Business Manager to join our Safeguarding and Public Protection Department, responsible for the strategic management of our public protection portfolio.

The successful candidate will be part of a small team based at The Kingsway, Bridgend, working Monday to Friday, mainly 8 am to 4 pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of the public protection strategic business portfolio, including policy determination and provision of support and advice on public protection issues.
  • Preparation of strategic plans, policies, and procedural documents, as well as reports and management information on behalf of the business area.
  • Development, implementation, and monitoring of policies and procedures, demonstrating a commitment to best practice and maintaining quality standards.
  • Displaying a strategic awareness and understanding of project management processes.

Requirements:

  • Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft applications.
  • Ability to produce high-quality written reports.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
