Deputy Managing Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Managing Director to join our team in Belfast. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in delivering and overseeing projects, helping to implement strategy, and setting and achieving targets.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work closely with our Managing Director for Northern Ireland, as well as with our UK Public Affairs Managing Director and Deputy MD in London. You will be responsible for managing client accounts, developing new business opportunities, and overseeing all aspects of the project lifecycle, from inception to delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Manage client relationships and develop new business opportunities
- Oversee project delivery, ensuring timely and budget-friendly completion
- Design and implement research methods that meet client needs
- Lead analysis plans and deliver final data and reporting outputs
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of our clients' needs
- Communicate effectively with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders
- Manage relationships with suppliers and internal operations colleagues
- Be accountable for the financial performance and overall quality of projects
- Line manage staff and develop high-performing teams
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Strong leadership qualities and proven experience in managing successful areas of business
- Demonstrable experience of business development success
- Strong large-scale quantitative and qualitative research, evaluation, and analytic experience
- Line management experience and interest in developing senior and junior colleagues
- A broad understanding of the research and evaluation industry and its market in Northern Ireland
