We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Delegated Underwriting Authority Manager to join our team at Davies. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing the Delegated Authority Management capability, providing clients with assistance and guidance on Delegated Underwriting Matters, and ensuring relevant Delegated Authority administration activities are undertaken and completed within reasonable timeframes to a good quality.
Key Responsibilities- Delegated Authority Management Framework
Develop and maintain the Delegated Authority Management framework in line with the needs of our clients, ensuring it is aligned with their Delegated Authority strategy and appetite.
Client LiaisonLiaise with clients to understand their delegated underwriting portfolio management needs and provide guidance on Delegated Underwriting Matters.
Approval Process ManagementManage the approval process for clients' MGAs, Coverholders, Lloyd's Service Companies, Brokers, and Consortia, coordinating the contributions of all relevant parties and tracking actions with escalation as needed.
Delegated Authority AdministrationManage the ongoing administration of clients' Delegated Authority arrangements, addressing post-inception changes and ensuring compliance with relevant procedures.
Collaboration and CommunicationPromote active engagement with other Asta teams, particularly DUA, Compliance, Risk, and Actuarial, to ensure seamless collaboration and effective communication.
Delegated Authority Audit PlanManage clients' Delegated Authority audit plan, including due diligence, reviews, audits, and following up on any recommendations.
Key Skills and Experience- Communication
Excellent interpersonal and written skills to build trust with senior members of managing agencies, coverholders, and brokers.
Organizational SkillsEffective organizational skills and a proactive outlook in setting and prioritizing work and meeting deadlines.
Numeracy and Attention to DetailGood level of numeracy and attention to detail to ensure accuracy and precision in all tasks.
Collaboration and LeadershipAbility to work collaboratively with others at all levels and establish strong relationships both internally and externally, with confidence in managing, coaching, and mentoring junior team members.
Technical SkillsCurrent and relevant experience in a delegated underwriting role, with a good working knowledge of MS Office (or similar) programs, particularly Word and Excel, and a comprehensive understanding of Lloyd's requirements for delegated underwriting arrangements.
Market KnowledgeDetailed knowledge of Lloyd's systems, including Atlas, DCOM, DAM, Crystal, and Risk Locator, as well as market Bordereau Management tools.
