About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursery Deputy Manager to join our team at Spark Educare. As a key member of our nursery leadership team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality early years education to children between 3 months and 5 years old.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to ensure the nursery meets the highest standards of the Statutory Framework for Early Years Foundation Stage.
  • Plan and deliver engaging activities that meet the needs of all children, in line with the EYFS.
  • Contribute to the marketing and management of the nursery, ensuring a high occupancy rate.
  • Assume responsibility for the day-to-day operational running of the nursery in the absence of the manager.
  • Develop and maintain policies for the review and assessment of each child's progress.
  • Support the nursery manager with any additional tasks required for the effective running of the nursery.
Requirements
  • A relevant childcare or teaching qualification – level 3 minimum.
  • Previous experience in a senior role within early years education.
  • Previous experience in a nursery is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A strong understanding of the EYFS and the ability to refer to the EYFS Framework to plan activities.
