About the Role
We are seeking two experienced Finance Business Partners to join our Financial Services team at Devon County Council. As a Finance Business Partner, you will play a key role in providing financial advice and support to budget holders and senior officers across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality financial services.
- Provide robust financial advice to budget holders and senior officers on all financial matters, including budget setting, monitoring, and closing the accounts.
- Develop and implement financial systems and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Identify and support the delivery of efficiencies in the service support, working closely with the finance team and other stakeholders.
- Proactively seek opportunities to improve the financial support provided to the Council, working collaboratively with the finance team and other departments.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong technical understanding of Local Government accounting, excellent numeracy skills, and the ability to work accurately with an attention to detail. You will also need to have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial matters to non-finance officers.
