About the Position
We are excited to announce a position for a dedicated Community Engagement Specialist to oversee and support the execution of Diamond's Community Engagement initiatives aimed at educational institutions and the general public.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in the organization and implementation of various activities, including:
- Conducting informative presentations and guided tours related to Diamond's operations.
- Facilitating collaboration with external stakeholders.
- Supporting the creation and execution of the Diamond Internship Program.
- Participating in community events, exhibitions, and other venues to discuss our scientific advancements and their societal implications.
- Overseeing the management of public engagement resources.
About You
The successful applicant should possess qualifications in scientific disciplines, communication, or education, or have demonstrable relevant experience.
Experience in program development and execution, as well as in volunteer coordination and crowd management, is essential. Familiarity with science communication tailored to diverse audiences, including both public and educational settings, is preferred.
Proficiency in MS Office applications is required, along with a solid understanding of database management and web content administration.
The candidate must exhibit the capability to manage multiple events and systems independently while demonstrating initiative in problem-solving.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills are crucial, including the ability to collaborate effectively and foster positive relationships with colleagues at all levels.
