About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Partnerships Housing Manager to join our team at Vistry Group PLC. As a key member of our Partnerships Division, you will play a crucial role in delivering affordable homes across the business, working closely with our Director and regional business units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Negotiate contracts for the sale of affordable housing to registered providers and other affordable housing providers.
  • Obtain and analyze affordable housing offers to ensure compliance with contractual and planning requirements.
  • Provide a comprehensive affordable housing service to multiple regional business units, including research and evaluation of local authority housing requirements.
  • Negotiate affordable housing terms in Section 106 Agreements and build strong relationships with registered provider clients.
  • Undertake scheme financial appraisals and viability assessments to ensure the delivery of affordable homes meets business objectives.
  • Advise business units on design requirements to meet client expectations and ensure compliance with grant funding criteria.
  • Prepare regular progress reports and board paper updates to ensure stakeholders are informed of project progress.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience within a housing association, residential house builder/developer, or local authority.
  • Experience of negotiating Section 106 agreements and affordable housing contracts.
  • Housing/Construction background within development teams.
  • A strong understanding of the sale and purchase process for land and property on a freehold and leasehold basis.
  • A thorough understanding of the housing development process.
  • Project management and financial skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage multiple key stakeholder relationships.
  • A strong team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Degree-level qualification required, with a development-related qualification (e.g., MRICS) being an advantage but not essential.
