Join Our Team as a Deputy Manager for Vulnerable Youth Services

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to support our Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) service. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with the Team Manager and a dedicated social work team to provide essential support to children and young people in need.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Team Manager with decision-making, chairing key meetings, and collaborating with multi-agency partners to secure the best outcomes for young people.
  • Lead on recruitment, training, and supervision of team members, ensuring their professional development is a priority.
  • Advocate for young people within the care system, promoting stable placements and implementing long-term positive changes.
Requirements:
  • Diploma/Degree in Social Work and SW England registration.
  • Practice Educator qualification.
  • Proven experience as a Deputy Manager or Senior Practitioner within Safeguarding or Permanence.
  • Strong understanding of legal frameworks and children's care pathways.
  • Confident in multi-agency collaboration and advocacy for young people.
