Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Engineer - CFD Process Specialist to join our Andretti Cadillac team at our Silverstone facility. As a key member of our Aerodynamics department, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers responsible for developing and implementing CFD processes and tools to support the design and development of our race cars.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of engineers in the development and implementation of CFD processes and tools
  • Develop and maintain methodologies, tools, and workflows to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our CFD process
  • Collaborate with Aerodynamicists and CFD engineers to solve complex problems and develop innovative solutions
  • Ensure that CFD simulations and analysis are aligned with the capability of our tools and processes
  • Oversee the optimization, maintenance, and support of new and existing codes, processes, and toolkits
  • Work closely with software engineers to translate engineering codes into robust applications
  • Assist in the development of our long-term HPC strategy
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the CFD process group
  • Provide support to users of the CFD process

Requirements:

  • Multiple years of experience in a similar role within the motorsport industry
  • Strong knowledge of fluid physics, numerical methods, and turbulence modeling
  • Experience in programming languages such as C++, Python, Java, or VBA
  • Experience with STAR-CCM+ and open-source CFD codes
  • Experience with HPC hardware and systems
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Able to perform duties in a timely manner with minimal errors
  • Ability to line manage / lead teams effectively
  • Strong levels of IT skills including MS Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
