Job Title: Senior Merchandiser

At Crew Clothing Company, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Merchandiser to join our team. As a key member of our Merchandising function, you will play a critical role in driving sales growth, maximizing profit, and minimizing markdowns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective merchandising strategies to drive sales and profit growth.
  • Collaborate with the Product team to review historical performance and determine future product strategy.
  • Present commercial sign-offs and trade meetings to senior management, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
  • Provide regular performance reviews across all business channels, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Review competitor activity with the Buyer to challenge future product strategy and ensure that our offerings remain competitive.
  • Plan internet and retail requirements, proposing ranging to maximize commercial needs.
  • Determine stock targets, taking into account any stock reduction requirements and planning buffer stocks where necessary.
  • Plan pricing strategy, working closely with the Product Team to secure overall margin targets.
  • Manage WSSI to plan and trade department in line with KPI budgets.
Requirements:
  • Strong Excel skills, ideally at an advanced level.
  • Highly numerate with excellent analytical skills.
  • Good presentation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to senior management.
  • Knowledge of critical path and product lifecycle of similar categories.
  • Commercially aware with a strong interest in the fashion retail industry.
  • Able to work both independently and within a small team, with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in a head office Merchandising environment, with a proven track record of driving sales growth and profit.
