About the Role

GSL Education invites enthusiastic and dynamic individuals to apply for the position of Cover Supervisor to join our vibrant and forward-thinking school. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the classroom environment in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students are engaged in learning activities and maintaining discipline.
  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and materials provided by the absent teacher, facilitating learning by guiding students through activities and answering questions.
  • Oversee student work during the lesson, ensuring students stay on task and complete assigned activities, while providing support and encouragement to students who require assistance.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students by adhering to health and safety procedures and protocols.
Requirements
  • Previous working experience within an educational setting.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in education, childcare, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Empathy, patience, and resilience when working with students facing academic or behavioural challenges.
  • A passion for supporting the learning and development of students and making a positive difference in their lives.
